Krause Springs offers Hill Country swimming and camping
Founded in 1955 on a beautiful Hill Country site near Sweetwater, Krause Springs lives up to its name, with 32 natural springs on the 115-acre property.
Privately owned by the Krause family for more than 50 years, this beloved swimming and camping retreat in Spicewood has a natural pool that flows into Lake Travis, along with a spring-fed manmade pool.
Listed on the National Registry of Historic Sites, Krause Springs is filled with beautiful Hill Country scenery, including a breathtaking waterfall, a secluded grotto, rugged boulders and bluffs, towering trees and lush landscaping.
For campers, Krause Springs offers primitive tent camping and 24 RV sites with water and electricity available.
Visitors can also stroll through the Butterfly Gardens, and enjoy a picnic at the shady pavilion.
Open year ‘round, Krause Springs is a bargain, with modest fees for day guests and overnight camping.
