Lake Travis ISD ranks No. 2 in Travis County for 2022
The 2022 Niche school rankings are out, and the highly regarded Lake Travis Independent School District serving Sweetwater has turned in another highly impressive performance.
Lake Travis ISD is the No. 2 ranked school district in Travis County, with an overall Niche grade of A. Lake Travis ISD has A+ grades for Academics and College Prep, with additional A’s for Teachers and Clubs & Activities.
Other highlights of the 2022 Niche rankings for Lake Travis ISD include:
- #1 Best School District for Athletes In Travis County (also No. 1 in the Austin Area)
- #3 District with the Best Teachers in Travis County
- #5 Safest School District in Travis County
- #2 Best Place to Teach in Travis County
The K-12 schools serving Sweetwater also ranked very high in the 2022 Niche report cards.
Rough Hollow Elementary, opened in 2020, is too new to be evaluated by Niche, but we’re very optimistic about future rankings for this school, which has a host of innovative features designed to help students learn and thrive, such as flexible “neighborhood spaces” and collaborative learning areas for each grade level.
Lake Travis High School has an overall A grade from Niche, with more A grades for Academics and College Prep. For the categories of Teachers and Clubs & Activities, Lake Travis High has A- grades.
In Travis County, Lake Travis High ranks No. 8 among the 46 public high schools analyzed by Niche. It ranks No. 3 for Best High Schools for Athletes, and No. 6 for Best College Prep Public High Schools.
Lake Travis Middle School has an overall A grade, with more A marks for Academics and Teachers. Among the 63 middle schools evaluated by Niche in Travis County, Lake Travis Middle ranks No. 11.
Sweetwater is also home to an innovative private preschool, KLA Schools of Sweetwater, offering a curriculum focused on arts and STEM subjects.
