Sweetwater resident Warren Chirhart launches successful second act as a Realtor
After a career of nearly 40 years with the 3M Company, where he was a manager in logistics, customer service and operations, Warren Chirhart wasn’t ready to retire. Instead, he launched a new career as a full-time real estate agent for Keller Williams Realty, working in its Lake Travis office.
Warren and his family moved to Austin from St. Paul, Minnesota, in 1999. They lived in The Village of The Hills for 17 years before moving to Sweetwater. They arrived at Sweetwater two years ago, following their desire to scale down to a smaller, single-story home.
“My wife, Suzanne, fell in love with Ashton Woods’ one-story model home, and we bought that plan,” Warren said. “At Sweetwater, we like the amenities, the diversity of families and empty nesters, and the proximity of the location to restaurants, the Hill Country Galleria and Lake Travis.”
As a Realtor, Warren is quick to recommend Sweetwater to other homebuyers. “Sweetwater is a great community with nice people, affordable housing and easy access to Lakeway, downtown and the airport,” he said. “It’s also close to many of our favorite restaurants, including J5 Steakhouse, Buenos Aires Café, Café Blue and Plate By Dzintra.”
Warren and Suzanne have three grown children who are all married, including their youngest, Adam, who lives in Plano. Sandy lives in St. Augustine, Florida, and Warren Jr. lives in Germany. Warren also has a granddaughter and two great grandsons.
