Pantone’s 2018 Color of the Year goes well with Sweetwater
Suggesting the “vast and limitless night sky,” Ultra Violet is the perfect color for a community where stargazing is a popular activity.
Ultra Violet, the Pantone Color Institute’s Color of the Year for 2018, has much in common with Sweetwater’s vision as a community where residents of all ages gather and explore the wonders of the night sky.
“Ultra Violet suggests the mysteries of the cosmos, the intrigue of what lies ahead, and the discoveries beyond where we are now,” Pantone writes on its website. “The vast and limitless night sky is symbolic of what is possible.”
Stargazing & S’mores parties are a popular tradition at Sweetwater, and they will continue in 2018. Sweetwater partners with expert astronomers, who bring professional grade equipment and help residents identify constellations and other planetary features.
Sweetwater works to preserve the beautiful Hill Country night sky above with its Dark Skies development policy, which limits streetlights and casts light downward.
Whether decorating your new home in 2018, or sprucing up your current home to sell, consider using at least a touch or two of this bold and trendy color, whether for walls or accessories.
