Village Builders creates new designs for Sweetwater’s Madrone Ridge
Surrounded by Hill Country views, Sweetwater’s Madrone Ridge offers a laidback lifestyle centered around two unique amenities right inside this new neighborhood. These include The Overlook Club for swimming and socializing, and a hilltop park where residents can relax in hammocks and enjoy other activities. Both are part of the more than 700 acres of parks, trails and natural open space enjoyed by all Sweetwater residents.
Madrone Ridge offers new homes by Village Builders, which has created its brand-new Legacy Series for sophisticated homebuyers who know exactly what they want in a home and are not willing to compromise on their expectations.
Three fully furnished model homes will showcase these new Village Builders plans in Madrone Ridge, with a grand opening planned in November.
Crafted with feedback from homebuyers of different age groups, with a special focus on those who age 55 and better, these plans offer low-maintenance living with thoughtful features designed to enhance outdoor living, enable a carefree lock-and-leave lifestyle, and provide the latest in home technology.
What makes these floor plans unique? It’s a long list of extra, special touches, such as plentiful storage spaces inside the home and the garage. Upstairs storage areas, accessible by fixed staircases, are included in some plans.
For hosting friends and family, these plans offer gorgeous kitchens optimized for entertaining, with seating for five or more guests at the center islands, and purposeful three-foot-wide doors for ease of movement by homeowners and guests.
These homes celebrate outdoor living with expansive front porches and rear covered patios, meant to serve as natural extensions of the indoor living space. With views of the scenic Madrone Ridge setting all around, those outdoor living spaces provide the perfect venues for long chats, scenic sunrises and plenty of stargazing.
Village Builders also designed with beloved four-legged family members in mind, making space for optional fully air-conditioned kennel or storage areas. Accessible through the laundry room, these options help residents stay organized, and help keep pets happy and secure.
Technology is at the forefront of every Village Builders home, and that’s especially true for the Legacy Series, where the latest smart home features help to enable a lock-and-leave lifestyle for residents who love to travel or visit family members for extended periods.
All homes are Wi-Fi certified and future-proofed to allow homeowners to embrace new technology as it develops. Already, homeowners will be able to set thermostats, turn off lights and lock doors, all from the palm of their hand using a smartphone or tablet.
Plans offer options for aging in place, including a primary bath option that turns into a fully accessible space featuring a zero-threshold roll-in shower with grab bars, wall mounted fold-down seat, adjustable hand-held shower head, and vanity base cabinet with hot water protection skirt.
Lighting was another focus for the new plans. All ceiling fixtures feature LED downlight bulbs to provide abundant brightness throughout the home. Special care was taken to make sure to provide plenty of light to areas with no access to natural light, such as closets and storage areas.
Village Builders also made a slight tweak to the popular “drop zone” feature found in many new homes today. Most traditional drop zones feature backpack racks and low benches where family members can sit down and take off muddy shoes. For its new Sweetwater plans, Village Builders tweaked the drop zone to replace the backpack rack with upper and lower cabinets that are within easy reach, with a comfortable 36-inch countertop height so homeowners don’t have to bend over or kneel to set down packages.
Village Builders also offers one of its NextGen series of multigenerational designs in Sweetwater. The Afton II plan includes a complete separate living suite with a living room, bedroom, kitchenette and bathroom. The living suite has a private entrance from the porch, along with an interior entry to the foyer. The NextGen series is ideal for different living situations, such as an adult child living at home, a live-in caretaker, or extended guests.
All Village Builders homes in Madrone Ridge are one-story designs for easy living without stairs. A one-and-a-half story plan, the Afton II, is also offered. This plan includes a third bedroom and full bath on the second floor. The accessible primary suite is downstairs.
