M/I to feature homes in Hillcrest village from the $400s
The developer of the 1,400 acre Sweetwater master-planned community in the Lake Travis area, has announced that M/I Homes will join the roster of builders in Sweetwater. M/I Homes will be building in Sweetwater’s new Hillcrest neighborhood, with pricing expected to start in the low $400s. A model home and sales office will open in late summer 2014.
M/I Homes joins eight other home builders at Sweetwater—Ashton Woods, Chesmar, Coventry, David Weekley, Drees, River Oaks, Ryland and Taylor Morrison. Home prices range from the upper $200s to over $700,000. More than 200 homes have been sold since the community opened in mid 2012.
Founded in Columbus, Ohio in 1976 by two cousins, M/I Homes has built nearly 90,000 homes across the U.S., establishing an excellent reputation along the way. J.D. Power has recognized the company as an industry leader in customer satisfaction.
“M/I is excited to continue the success of our Austin brand launch in this premier community,” says Kreg Conner, vice president of sales and marketing. “We believe that our new series of homes created just for Austin, which include many extra features at no additional cost, will appeal to the Sweetwater buyer," Conner says.

Sweetwater is located on Hwy 71, five minutes west of RR 620 and the Hill Country Galleria. The community is in the Lake Travis ISD, ranked in the top 2% of school districts in Texas. The community Welcome Center and model homes are open daily.
