Austin is Tops for Entrepreneurs
By now, we Austinites have become a bit blasé about all of the national accolades we receive. We’re No. 1 for this and No. 1 for that. Gee thanks, but we’ve got no wall space left to hang the plaques.
We are going to make room, though, for our latest honor. A Forbes columnist named Austin as one of the top up-and-coming cities for entrepreneurs – not just in the United States, but worldwide.
Patrick Hull writes, “Austin is a great place to start a company and is loaded with an influx of young professionals. Big events like South by Southwest and the Film + Interactive Festival have fueled creativity and start-up activity.” Among Hull’s other top picks are Singapore, Sao Paulo, Brazil, and Sydney, Australia.
So, if you’re feeling entrepreneurial, Austin is, indeed, a great place to be. And if you’re going to create a world-class business, you’ll want to live in a world-class new home community.
