Sweetwater Area Schools Awarded Exemplary
Once again, the schools serving Sweetwater have received top marks for academic performance from the Texas Education Agency (TEA). Ratings for the 2010-11 school year, released by TEA in January, ranked both Lake Travis High and Middle schools as “Exemplary.” Bee Cave Elementary received the “Recognized” rating, the second highest ranking in the state.
The Lake Travis Independent School District (LTISD) also received Gold Performance Awards for Advanced Placement/International Baccalaureate test results, the percentage college-ready graduates and for scores in mathematics, reading, writing, science and social studies.
Great public schools are one of the biggest draws of the Lake Travis area, one more reason why Sweetwater will be a place families love to call home.
